The Launch

You and your instructor will set up the hang glider, go over a brief ground school, practice a few launch runs, and then run side-by-side off the mountain and into the sky!

The Flight

Once you've participated in the launch, there is nothing else you have to do! Your only job is to relax and enjoy the ride . . .

Your instructor will also provide basic instruction and encourage you to give it a try. Just relax and look ahead, and you'll be flying a hang glider all by yourself in no time!

The Landing

To keep the landing as safe and as simple as possible, you will most likely be landing on wheels. While you remain relaxed in your harness, your instructor will guide the glider into the field for a smooth, gentle wheel landing. In certain conditions, however, it can be just as safe to land on your feet. In this case, the instructor may ask you if you'd like to try a foot landing. If so, he will provide basic instruction before the landing and then bring you gently onto your feet.
